I have the exact symptoms the mom of one of the commenter’s has. It started 3 years ago when I was 52 years old. I moved to a beautiful wooded area. I am very allergic to birch trees, oak trees, and others (which allergy testing exposed). I only get relief from my dry cough and spitting little balls of phlegm and mucus, when I sleep. Wheezing wakes me up in the morning. My throat is mostly sore from the dry cough which I attempt to suppress best I can. I get little relief from Singulair and an antihistamine in the morning.

I am using sterile saline pot devices to get rid of excess mucus. I am also using of antihistamines with less sedating effects.

My mom has excess mucus. No respiratory problems or lung disorders. This started in December of 2018 and has been in full force ever since. It’s thick sometimes and just comes up in her mouth. All kinds of test have been done and can’t fine out a cause. The only time she gets relief is when she falls off to sleep. It will wake her up.

First time I am experiencing feelings of excess mucus. I feel like I have mucus or fluid in my lungs since Friday and today is Sunday. It's getting worse. Whenever I exhale I have weird feelings. It is like something is blocking my nose or throat.
