Although my physician would not put this to paper, he is sure that my vasculitis is caused by an injection called Synvisc I had in both knees. He says I had an allergic reaction to it. That was nearly 2 years ago and I am still suffering and I am still on that awful steroid called prednisone. I have been tested more than once for every autoimmune disease known and to every tick transmitted disease known, and everything comes back negative.

My vasculitis is from unknown cause. I have been struggling with skin vasculitis for 3 months.

I was bitten several times on lower shins by insects, at work, which caused my vasculitis.

I have had a rash on my legs which burns all the time, acute shortness of breath and cough. My doctor thinks I may be having vasculitis because of a reaction to Aprovel (irbesartan).

I am not sure what caused vasculitis to both of my lower legs inner calves. I went to the zoo and outlet mall in Nashville for a long day and noticed the rash when we got home. It was hot and humid out. The rash was hot and red with light itching. It starting going away the next day and was completely gone in 6 days.

I wonder if this vasculitis can be caused because you are spending much time in a place which has little fresh air flowing in and is heated by forced-air through ducts, air simply recycled from within the office or apartment. Perhaps this is what black mold can do once in those ducts.

I do not know if I have vasculitis, but I have red splotches on both inner calves. I first noticed the splotch on my right calf yesterday morning and the one on my left leg last night. They do not hurt. I have had these once or twice before. They seem to be related to heat and traveling on airplanes. I do not plan to seek treatment unless I experience pain because I have just arrived in Cambodia where medical care is poor.
