I am unable to urinate. I have a red rash all over the skin.
I’m a 54 year old woman and suffer with kidney and urinary tract infections from when I was 31 years old. I have had millions of antibiotics, CT, MRI and ultrasound for years. I was told I have medullary sponge kidney, in October 2019. Seven years ago I was told I have interstitial cystitis, but 2 years ago I started suffering with excruciating bladder and right side flank pain. I have stones in the kidneys and urinary retention. My bladder is enormous and I have a catheter. I am on fentanyl patches, Oramorph and Valium as I am bipolar. I am still in agony, anxious and depressed.

I'm a 37 year old female that suffered from urination retention, bladder pressure and feeling constantly full. I'm posting to provide hope. It was a terrible urinary tract infection from the beach that was the catalyst for my condition. I suffered terribly for 3 months. I felt hopeless and was trying to accept the new me. One month in I retained 300 ml after voiding. Two months in, 160 ml after voiding and finally I am in the normal range at about 30 ml. Be patient, be strong. Sometimes it will naturally work its way away.
It was strange. I went to the bathroom and relieved myself with no problem. The next time I had to go nothing happened. I began to feel pain so I went to the emergency room and was diagnosed with acute urinal retention. I was given a catheter to relieve my bladder. I am waiting to go back for follow up. Dealing with a range of emotions right now. I had not shown any symptoms until I was just unable to go. I was given Flomax to help with the problem.
My bladder problems began about 25 years ago, now I still have bladder retention and have to catheterize 5-6 times a night. It has made me depressed and heavy on hydrocodone and Xanax. The urologist says only catheterizing myself will work.
