There are a lot of squirrels in my back yard. I have a dog that goes outside. One day I had a weird bite on my leg, super red and very itchy. That's probably how I got my typhus infection.

A large opossum fell out of our tree. I rolled it to the street so the vultures would get it. There are also a lot of rats around here which might cause the typhus infection. We live next door to a boutique commercial fishing marina.

I am a rental agent and a week ago I did an inspection at a house which was full of fleas and cockroaches! I started about 3 days ago with severe headaches! Yesterday I began to get chills, fever, nausea, vomiting, body ache and stiff muscles!

My typhus infection started with sore throat and fever. Fever did not go away after treatment with antibiotics.
