As a cancer survivor I know when I need to go to the hospital and when I can just make a doctor’s appointment, but nothing prepared me for the feeling that I had when I experienced a TIA (transient ischemic attack). You know that something is wrong and not sure how to describe it, but I could feel my legs and that was it, there was no stability and they were like jelly, or like I had no knees and they just wobbled. I made it to the car and actually drove myself to the hospital since I thought I was having a pinched nerve around my sciatic nerve. So when I was told that I had a mini stroke I was thoroughly shocked! Never would I have guessed that.
