The signs of my torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) was a “twang” in my knee, followed by stars spinning round head somewhat relieved by burrowing my forehead in the snow. I got over it and skied on (and the next day) but not to my usual ability.
The signs and symptoms that I experienced were very familiar since this has been my fourth knee surgery. While attempting to stand from a kneeling position, I heard a rather loud "pop" followed by immediate and intense pain and the onset of swelling.
I don't know if I have a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) or what, but I fell about two months ago. I feel something as if a small circular bone under the skin of my knee. I bend and walk perfectly, but when I kneel down it hurts really bad.
It's scary and painful having a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament). To know that there is treatment it certainly is a big help. Thank you.
My dog tried to barge through the outside door while I was stepping down. I tripped and landed on my knee. It hurt, but didn't realize I did anything until a week later when I found I had a torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament). The pain and symptoms were different as initial impact.
I like to do physical activities like hiking, biking, skating, swimming, and camping. I am a middle school teacher, and while supervising students, joined in jumping rope. When I landed, my foot inside my shoe shifter, I felt popping on my ankle and tried to move to avoid further injury, when my knee popped and gave under. I didn't land on my knee, I have been treated at doctor's for torn ACL (anterior cruciate ligament), and waiting for surgery. I am currently on knee brace and a walker.
I sat down on the bus, literally that’s it, when my ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) was torn.
