I haven't had any treatment for my spinal cord injury. I had neck surgery after a year and 5 months, and months of physical therapy. I finally found out I have some spinal cord damage. I only had symptoms of severe neck pain and headaches, and the neurosurgeon said I needed surgery. I trusted him, and now I can hardly do anything. I have lost bladder and bowel control among other severe symptoms.

I had three weeks of physical therapy before discharge after incomplete spinal cord injury. Muscle weakness, bladder incontinence and loss of bowel control resulted from the injury. Three months after injury I can walk without support and have gained some control over urination and most control over bowel elimination. Injury resulted from a face plant outside in the dark after losing footing from running into a low wall.
