My 14 year old son has sleep apnea. It was difficult to watch him be excessively tired during the day and be extra moody and not really wanting to socialize. He had a limited amount of energy that he put towards school and homework. I insisted that he try a CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure), after a fair amount of resistance my son has found relief from a CPAP and wears it every night without any resistance. It makes a big difference in his day when he has worn it. The CPAP has helped him tremendously. Not something I really wanted for my kid but it has improved his quality of life. Thank goodness I pressed for it. It was and is no way to live feeling exhausted & like a zombie every day.
