I was hit by drunk driver at a 100 mph on the right side, and thrown out of through the windshield. I hit the pavement and wound up in the ICU. I had fractured skull, perforated ear drum and blood was coming out of my ear. I had surgery; not fun. No one cares when drunk drivers hit you.

I went to an outpatient clinic and had the nurse do an irrigation of my ear with a spray bottle. I felt like an explosion in my ear like, something blow out and high pain all at once. I told the nurse she had ruptured my eardrum and I was in severe pain, but she said she didn’t, without even look at my ear. I lay crying on the table, she said to rest and then left the room. Then the doctor came in, looked at my ear and said nothing about a rupture. I now have blood coming out of my ear, drainage, and a shooting pain in my ear. They gave me eye antibiotic drops same as eardrops and I paid cash as I have no insurance.

I suffered a large rupture to my right eardrum by doing something I have done for 40 plus years. I had a lot of pressure in ears after the flu, I held my nose and blew to pop them. Pain was instant and terribly severe. I had severe drainage all night and went to the doctor next day. I received ear drop and ibuprofen for pain. Three days later I still have absolutely no hearing, drainage, vertigo and severe pain. New symptoms are swelling in jaw with tightness when moving, swelling and pain in temple, cheek, eye bone and down the throat under each ear.
