I stayed in the hospital for just 2 days for treatment of pleural effusion. During that time I had over 600 ml of fluid drained from my left lung, after my pleural effusion was discovered by accident.

One liter of fluid was drained from my lungs and it returned 2 weeks later. Two liters were drained with a tube left in my lung and then the area where fluid developed was sealed off with a talc like powder. My chest x-rays have been fine ever since. It is no longer hard to breathe and the fluid has not returned. It has been 4 months.

First I faced some weakness problem in me. After 4 months I was well, then after that I experienced pneumonia. That day I had 103 degree fever, so the doctor took x-ray and found I have pleural effusion. So the doctor has started for me on DOTS (TB) medication. Right now I am taking that and I am better than before.
