I have suffered with back problems for over 60 years and the pain from the pinched nerve is under the buttocks and in the side and bottom of the right hip. I have received two epidurals inside of four months to no avail. I am looking for exercises I can do which will help the pain.

I woke up with excruciating pain in my biceps and severe tingling and numbness in fingers. The pain is the worst when I'm lying down, but never goes away. Took a few months to get an accurate diagnosis of a pinched nerve in my neck at C5-C6. I have taken anti-inflammatory medicine (Mobic) and prednisone and have had no improvement. I've been treated with physical therapy and chiropractic - no improvement yet. It has been over 4 months and no improvement. I sleep very little and feel like I'm going crazy.

For me the pinched nerve symptoms started all of a sudden with a sharp pain in the lower left shoulder blade, which put me in hospital with indescribable pain, and after numerous morphine treatments I was discharged. Now 4 months later I have severe tingling in my left hand (little finger) and numbness in my hand and arm. I am still in the usual run around with doctors although hopefully the MRI scan will discover the cause and then determine the appropriate treatment.

Compression of the nerve by inflammation resulting from cervical bone spurs. My pinched nerve symptoms ramp up over 4 to 6 days, then become thoroughly debilitating for 3 to 5 days and then begin to tingle and go numb for a few days accompanied by a 2 to 3 day ramp down to baseline stiffness with mild pain. I'll get 1 or 2 weeks at baseline then it starts over and basically shuts my life down for a week and a half. At its worst I sometimes feel I'm going crazy. I'm 50 with a congenital spinal deformity so I'm no stranger to pain.

I have tingling, burning, numbness and electrical like shooting pains that go through my arms and back of my legs from a pinched nerve. I also have pain and swelling in my neck and keep getting headaches, and when I lean over I get extremely nauseous.

I woke up one morning with sore shoulder and neck which continued for 2 days. As soon as that went away I immediately had a severe burning sensation in my biceps area when touched. One day later my whole right arm felt that way, 1 day after that my thumb and pointer finger went numb. After 2 days of excruciating pain I went to the emergency room, and the doctor said I had a pinched nerve in my neck. It has been a week with this and I want to chop my arm off. Next step is a nerve conduction test. I was prescribed 300 mg of gabapentin a day and it hasn't touched this pain.

With pinched nerve any movement of head sends sharp pain to the area, and have had some numbness in the tips of my fingers on the right hand.

I have a trapped nerve in my spine and now my right shoulder has one too. My spine pinched nerve started in October 2016. I lifted my disabled grandchild out of her bed and I immediately felt like a horse had kicked me. I put her down and as I went to straighten up I felt like I'd had an electric shock down my right leg. I'm already on serious strength pain medicines but they didn't touch this pain. I thought I had just strained my back but as the days passed it got worse. I had stabbing sensation in my right buttock cheek, my lower back and down my leg into my foot. After a week the ball and toes on my foot went numb. I only really noticed as I went to put my foot on the bottom stair, the ball and toes were so numb I went over putting my arms out. I also had a numb saddle area so had problems with passing water because I couldn't feel it and had a constant pain like my bowels were about to open to the point I'd crawl upstairs to the bathroom. Never felt pain like this, it's eating away at me.

Pinched nerve in shoulder started with infrequent sharp twinges. Then proceeded to prolonged sharp pains when making certain movements. Finally I was driving my car had to pull over and stop car because of intense burning pain that continued for a few minutes. Luckily I was on my way to the acupuncturist at the time for my very first session.

About 6 weeks ago, I woke up in the morning to pain in both shoulders extending down to my wrists. After being awake for a few hours the pain subsides (does not go away). I sleep on both of my sides about 80 percent of the time. There is pain and a little tingling, but no numbness at this point. I have consulted with a doctor and diagnosed with pinched nerve, will be entering physiotherapy next week. On a scale of 1 to 10 this pain is about an 8 when I wake up in the morning, but subsides to a 3 or 4 during the day. One Tylenol a day seems to help.

My pinched nerve in my neck causes a tingling sensation in my arm all the way down to my fingers. When I do nothing for relief, the sensation turns to pain and it continues to grow worse until relief.

I have numbness in my arm and the pinched nerve is causing itch attacks on that same arm.

For the past two days I have been having pain shooting down my right side from my lower back to my foot because of pinched nerve. It’s hard to put pressure but trying to bend down to pick anything up I get a shooting pain that takes my breath away.

Because of pinched nerve, I have pain on my right side of neck, tingling on the left upper back with pain under my shoulder blade, and pain on my right arm. The pain on the arm produces a tingling sensation in my thumb and index finger.

I had unbearable pain in my hip because of pinched nerve. Since I had already had shots there for arthritis, I naturally thought that was the problem. The pain went across my buttocks, down my leg into my feet and finally into my toes. After a few chiropractor treatments, the doctor had me look at a body map to finally convince me my problem was not my hip but a damaged sciatic nerve. This followed an auto accident. The initial pain was deep throbbing, followed by lightning like sensations down my leg into my feet. There wasn't any position I could get into that helped. I suffered for 15 months before I had an injection. After that, the pain in my hip was gone as well as the other pain. What a relief!

I had reverse shoulder replacement 2 years ago. The pain never left, I suffer immense pain in my neck, arm and shoulder, severe numbness and tingling. I have been on medication for my pinched nerve symptoms, since surgery. Surgeon won’t see me as I told him he caused it.

I fell backwards and landed on my left hand, and now my wrist and shoulder hurt. My shoulder feels like it doesn't fit in its socket and gets numb. MRI says there is a small tear, and doctor says it's not my shoulder, it's my neck.

I have just been diagnosed with a hiatal hernia and ulcer. For years I have been taking pantoprazole and ranitidine. Yet I vomit every night and just about any time I am horizontal. I can never eat a large meal (I made the mistake one time and threw up for an hour during the night covering the bedroom and bathroom.) I have pain after every meal and exhaustion and constipation. I can't eat anything acidic; juice, alcohol, grapefruit as well as chocolate, coffee, and coke. The exhaustion after meals is the worst part along with the constant washing of sheets.

I can’t move my toes, losing my feeling in my lower legs because of pinched nerve.

My pain is in my upper left corner of my back, and the base of my left-arm joint. The pain is aggravated when sitting upright and bending a certain way. The pain attenuates when I do a forward stretch with left arm above and over towards the right above my head; or lying down and stretching. But the pain soon returns when I stand or sit up. I initially thought it was a bone/muscle problem and hence had my son walk on my back to pop my joints back into place. This this pain is persistent. Over-the-counter naproxen sodium apparently doesn't help. Apparently I got this pain from sleeping in a bad position. It's been about 48 hour of pain. My wife says I have a pinched nerve and hence, must suffer for days as its cure is very slow. A hot vibrator helps alleviate the pain. My wife says that nerves love heat. So I'm suffering from chronic pain that requires me to stretch my left arm up and over my head to pull the area upwards which apparently fostered temporary pain reduction.

A few days ago I started feeling dizzy, I also had pain in the back of my neck and in front of left shoulder. I went to the emergency room and every test came out fine. I was in very good health, however I think I have a pinched nerve in my neck.

He got out of bed and fell right back down, now if he turns his head to the left he gets dizzy and wants to fall down. I think it maybe pinched nerve.

I was sent to the emergency room by my doctor, I was at the doctor’s office because of the pain in my arm, but when the nurse took my blood pressure, it was 220/110. My arm is tingling, and I have numbness, severe pain in the arm and neck, it feels like bugs crawling in my arm, sharp shooting pain, and feeling like needles are sticking me in my fingers.
