I'm currently caring for my Dad. He's 66. He's suffered from Pick's disease for 6 years. The past 1.5 years has been very difficult. Sleep disruption and the constant pacing is an issue. He's currently taking Seroquel 25 mg 3 times daily, Klonopin 0.5 mg 3 times, and Celexa 40 mg. The outbursts and aggressive behavior are the hardest part for me to process emotionally.

My husband is on Nuedexta twice daily for Pick's disease, which helps a bit with irregular emotions. He's also on Cymbalta to help with the anxiety. He has had a lot of problems with sleep and agitation. Increasing his dose of Cymbalta didn't work, so I asked our neurologist if we could try CBD oil. We bought some CBD and he takes 3 drops in the morning and at night. He is sleeping better than he has since his stroke in 2011 and he's a little less agitated. Our doctor said if that stops working, we could move up to the medical marijuana if need be. It has been a big help.

My husband was diagnosed with Pick's disease/frontotemporal disease 2 years ago and he is 48 years old. The medication I have found most helpful is Nuedexta twice daily, and Abilify injection once a month that I give at home. The area I struggle with is sleep, he takes Restoril 30 mg and he is still not sleeping.

My husband went on treatment for depression prior to his diagnosis of FTD. There is no treatment besides medication to keep him calm. Nothing has been done to help him. My frustration with his illness is that nobody seems to know how to deal patients with FTD.
