When diagnosed 1 year ago with diabetes, my blood glucose level was 280 fasting and 11.1 A1C. I was prescribed metformin and Bydureon injections. I also cut out all starchy carbs and started walking and slowly increased walks as my weight came off. I am down to 225 from 280. It's a daily struggle. Cravings are mostly gone but not completely. Now average fasting was 109 for last month. Hope to get off medicines. It can be done. One day at a time. One hour at a time if necessary.
My mother is an 89 year old senior with type 2 diabetes. She got it after quadruple bypass surgery 15 years ago. Her blood sugars are between 11 and 15 right now, and she thinks that's normal for her. I am not sure this is correct.
I was on insulin and medicines to control my type 2 diabetes. I changed my diet and try to walk a mile every day. My blood sugar is always under 156. I don’t know for sure if this is an ok level but I have lost weight and now down to 259 lb. My plan is to beat diabetes! I am 70 years old and have dropped 50 lb. in two years; it is a hard battle. I no longer take any medicines.
After lunch, my sugar goes to 161.
My sugar levels are controllable with insulin.
My fasting sugar level is 130 and after 2 hours of meal, the sugar level is 200. I am trying to see how to gain weight.
My husband has sugar level fasting 100.3. Earlier once he was not well, we checked in the night after meal and it was 183. I am worried if he has diabetes.
