My granddaughter was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma when she was 5 1/2 yrs. She has endured surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, 3 stem cell rescues, and 2 MIBG treatments. Her first MIGB was successful but she relapsed 7 months later. Her second MIBG was unsuccessful and we are just waiting for a plan of action. My son told me that there really isn't anything that will help. She gets so sick and loses her hair each time she has chemotherapy. Even the 'mild' stuff affects her. There are trials, but she has been eliminated because her bone marrow is now positive for cancer. We wait and hope.

I was born with a neuroblastoma and had surgery three days after birth. Is it possible to have it come back, even though my surgeon told my mother they removed most of it?
