I was trying to do some abdominal exercise and I felt the neck strain. Now it's stiff and I can't look to the left direction without severe internal shock.

I broke my neck at C4, C5, C6 and C7, 32 years ago when I was 15, in a diving accident. I was a quadriplegic temporarily until my parents signed a waiver to try an experimental drug at the time that supposedly helped fuse the spine in lab rats. I got my feeling back three weeks later and have really been lucky and pain free, up until about two years ago. I am now approaching 48 and have been losing feeling in my hands and dropping things. I have constant pain in my neck and sometimes get severe migraines. I don't want to do drugs. Thanks.

I think I have tried every kind of statin at some time, for lowering my cholesterol. They have all affected me adversely that I quit taking them after a short time. Four of my 5 siblings have been on statins and all 4 of them experienced transient global amnesia as a side effect. I have told my doctor that I will not take statins even though my numbers are high.

Post 32 years cervical fusion of C2 C3 C4, C1 C5 C6 now have problems because they have taken the brunt of the use in the last 32 years. I have been told there is nothing that can be done for my neck pain. I use ice, sometimes heat, and I do strengthening exercise along with prescribed muscle relaxants and pain pills. It keeps it manageable for the time being. I still work a full time job at 55.

I fell down stairs, legally blind, 3 years ago. My foot came completely off, and put back on. I am still in massive pain, and doctors don't want to help.

When I eat, after a few days, pieces of food come back smelling like toilet. I have been experiencing that for almost 4 years, then I started feeling pains on my neck. Now it has gone down on the shoulders; sometimes I do not feel my arms.

I'm in very great pain 24/7, I had my whole neck fused last year. I'm only allowed a small amount of prescription pain medicine a day, doctor put me on CBD/hemp oil without the THC. I have been using it without any relief from pain, I can only sleep 2 hours a night, and the pain is getting bad. This is tearing my life apart, I am 58 years old.

I have had 2 Bartholin's cysts on my left gland and twice had a marsupialization performed, still it tends to reoccur once or twice in a year. Now I am kind of used to it, hence I have accepted it as one of my parts. The best medicine is taking Citralka, it can be also taken during pregnancy. I started draining within 24 hours. So for all those for immediate results it is a must.

I was in a car accident and ever since, my neck has been bothering me on and off. I've had two physical therapies and acupuncture. I noticed some improvement with physical therapy but very minimal. I am a teacher, so in the summer breaks I noticed I didn't have neck pains. I'm thinking my neck pain has a lot to do with stress so I am considering a career change.

My neck pain is of unknown cause. About 3 years ago I started having shoulder pain. I've tried physical therapy, cortisone injections, pain medications, ice, heat, massage, acupuncture, and radio frequency ablation (RFA) on right. RFA gave me about 80% relief for 4 months, then pain came back. I had it done on left side 3 weeks ago and pain became worse. I had target point injection then. Now it is worse and I have tingling on left side. I can't live like this.

Several years ago I had a bad car accident. My neck pain began as an occasional stiff neck and eventually turned in to chronic severe neck pain. MRI showed 3 herniated discs, spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease. After 10 years of terrible pain I had a neck surgery, C5-C7 fused with plate. I wish I was a success story but I still have bad neck/shoulder pain with numbness in arms/hands.

I was lifting weights and hurt my pectoral muscle, I think doing bench press. Since that day a month ago, my neck has a burning sensation and tightness behind my head.

An accident 5 years ago, an attic ladder coming down on my head, was the cause of my neck pain. Medications over the years just make me feel spaced out desperate. The doctors blame stress on everything these days, agreed stress does not help, but I know my neck is getting worse. Now don"t want to go to the doctor, I don"t feel I am getting anywhere.

I am a healthy with perfect annual physicals. I had some wrist arthritis and I had a neck operation for bulging discs C 5-6-7, 3 years ago in January, and bone graft. The pain before the operation was 7 to 8 out of 10. I had steroid injections before and after that eased the pain for a few months. The operating doctor said I would be playing golf in about two months after the operation; not true. The first two years and after my neck pain was 5 to 7 with headaches and dizziness and any exercise took it to a 7. Therapy made the pain worse for days. I have had a second opinion and MRIs; perfect. I take a pill to sleep and hydrocodone, limited dose. I discovered very mild limited neck exercises have helped. This episode has made me weak and exhausted daily. Lack of exercise has weakened my legs.

I have been having neck pain for 4 months. I had an MRI and found to have some disc bulging but no nerve damage. I was put on meloxicam which has caused problems with my blood pressure and blood sugar readings, did not help much either, just dealing with the pain now.

I was suffering from neck pain since age of 70. My doctor prescribed vitamin D3 (60K IU) per week for 2 months, and in addition muscle relaxant and pregabalin 75. It helped and I got relief. But after 2 months again the pain started. After that I again had the same treatment. Now I am taking 2000 IU vitamin D3 daily with break of a week in between and I am much better now.

I had a C5-C6 fusion in 2003 and felt great after pain was gone. In 2009 I suffered another herniation of C6-C7. I worked for 17 years on an assembly line and both times I was ambulanced out of plant. It's been 4 years since the second surgery. I am in constant pain, have bad headaches, and dread going to bed and then waking up. I'm on muscle relaxers gabapentin and tramadol. I also take over the counter medicines. Nothing helps; I am miserable unable to drive or work. I wish there was something that would help. My neurologist says I cannot have any therapy but I can try acupuncture, I'm hoping it will help.

When I was 19, I got hit from behind and then again in 2009. I have bulging discs and pinched nerves in my neck, also arthritis from the car accidents. I get numbness in my hands and fingers and have weakness on the left side. I just finished physical therapy and now have more pain. I take pain pills at night to sleep. Just hoping that things will improve.

I woke up a couple of days ago and noticed two bumps on the side of my neck, about 3 inches below my ear lobe. They are kind of hard and movable. Today is the 4 day and there seems to be a little more pain when I move them. One is larger than the other. I have had dizzy spells off and on, usually when get up or moving my head. I have had this problem before. I have had tubes in my ears as a child and I know my hearing is bad.

For unknown reasons I have been experiencing neck and shoulder pain for almost a year. X-ray, MRI's shows nothing. Cortisone shots bring minor relief for only a few days. I don't sleep well at night. Orthogonal adjustments have brought some relief as well as pressure point therapy and acupuncture. I am going to next try new laser therapy treatments. If it works I will be back to post the results.

I have neck pain and a headache every day. The severity of the pain varies in intensity. Some days it's debilitating. It hurts to chew food, swallow, and bare down for certain body functions. I've had ct scans with contrast that show herniating of some discs and surrounding tissue abnormalities. Sometimes my fingers don't function and I drop pens and eating utensils. I've had pt. It's a temporary fix. Sometimes I can't sleep and don't know where to put my head or how to position my neck. It's getting worse.

My neck pain started from no apparent cause. I had severe pain down my arm and elbow. I had three ruptured disks. The doctor did transplants in two of the disks. He was unable to reach the top from the front. Since the surgery, I have had severe pain between my shoulder blades, I have had headaches and if I bend my head forward, my arms go numb and it feels as if I am being shocked down the tops of my legs.

My Neck Pain was caused by an injury that occurred at my old job. As I lifted a box from that moment on I felt pain in my left arm and moments after pain in my neck. The following day I was in chronic pain with my arm and neck. I'm now under the treatment of chiropractors and doctor and physical therapy and just recently received epidural injection in my neck as the MRI I had detected that I have 4 herniations in my neck and 2 ruptured and I had an emg done and detected that I have nerve damage at the same level as my disc herniations I'm hoping that these injection brings me relief. I'm scheduled for another epidural injection for the right side of my neck. I hope it brings relief to my neck and my left arm where the pain from my neck radiates into my left arm its excruciating pain I chose this option rather than surgery in hopes that this method will help me heal.

I had a black out and fell on the toilet floor, and my neck and head smashed against the bath. I got a scan. I suffer from 3 lumps on the left hand side of my brain. I get no warning I am scared. I thought it was epilepsy grand mal seizure. I have been on Epilim 20 mg for 25 years, and in wheelchair for 5 years. Wrong diagnosis and wrong medicines I think.

I have been facing neck weakness and grinding sounds for last 8 months. I faced very uncomfortable situations while sitting down even for office desk work, reading and writing. Pain relief cream is always in my office bag. But recently I started to take cashew nuts, and within a week I felt excellent results. Now I feel neck strength and neck grinding sounds reduced up to 80 percent. There is high mineral content in cashew nuts like copper, magnesium, manganese, iron, phosphorous, etc. These minerals intake will improve our spinal strength, cartilage filling in our bones and immunity, so please try and improve your spinal strength by the simple way of eating dry fruits.

My neck is stiff and hurts when I look left or right, up or down. It's causing a dull headache as well. Neither Tylenol, Motrin nor Excedrin works for the headache. I get some relief from alternating heat and cold compresses but the pain persists. This is beginning to affect my quality of life because it is constant.

I have low back pain and leg pain from degenerative disc disease and was doing fine until, I fell last October. Now it hurts all the time and the doctor says I need fusion of 3 discs but he said it would be serious recovery. So now I am trying the epidural shots to see if they can help.

I fell off a horse when I was 15, also whiplash when I was 32. Now 65 and have nerve root exposure, disk buldging, and vertabras out of alignment. Had fusion with bone grafts and stem cells, etc. Have a plate in front, not a good surgery to go through. Still have paralysis in neck and shoulder. Pain in arms and difficulty swallowing. Difficult to sit or sleep very long at a time. Would reconsider if I had to do it over.

I had a pain at the back of my neck that always occurs in the afternoon and/or in the morning. It's mostly occurring in the morning when I wake up. Sometimes it's too much pain that I cannot turn or move up my head from the bed. When I visited the doctor, I was given a painkiller that does not last for long.

I just recently was involved in a motorcycle accident. Now the neck pain is tremendous. The doctor said something was wrong between C4 and C5 as well as between C5 and C6 and C7. The only relief I can get is to keep it immobilized with a brace until it gets warmed up throughout the day. I take pain medications, anti-inflammatories (800 mg of ibuprofen) and muscle relaxers. I am hoping this is not the permanent solution my doctor is prescribing. I was told to just let it heal and then we will see. I don't want to heal improperly and have permanent pain.

My neck where my head and neck meet have been hurting for the past few months. It is as if I have been looking up for way to long so I feel the need to look down and stretch it. I am not sure what I am supposed to do or what is going on. I was thinking it is caused by stress but I am only 19 years old so I am not sure. Any suggestions would be great.

My neck pain started with having a stiff neck and I thought a good massage will sort the problem out. I had plenty of knots and it was very painfull having the massage. After the massage it got a lot worse and causes severe headaches. The pain is now in my neck and between my shoulder blades and head. I have tried heat, muscle relaxants, pain killers and posture improvement and nothing seems to work. I can feel hard lumps on the right side of my spine and towards my ear. My neck crunches at every movements and if I pull my neck back it clicks all the way down my upper back.

Everytime I fall asleep in a car, plane or bus seats, I wake up with pain in the neck. Sometimes it gets better after moving for a while, other times it lasts for days. Other times, stress gets it started, but mostly will start if I guess I don't sleep in the correct position that night. I have not found the best treatment yet, and x-rays shows everything is fine.

I dislocated my neck at age 24 after a riding accident, I'm now 63 and have suffered since then from constant sharp shooting pain and spasms. No painkillers work, I have had facet joint injections, epidurals, cortisone injections and radio frequency treatment, nothing gives me relief and it's ruining my life as I can't sleep as can't bear any pressure on my neck. I suffer from constant headaches but no one can tell me why!

My neck hurts when I turn my head to the right, left, or up and down. I often hear a "crack" when turning my head up or down. I also feel as though the gland on my right side of the neck is swollen. This has been going on now for several months and is not getting any better. Ben Gay does absolutely nothing for relief.

Chronic stiff neck. Right side of neck just below base of cranium. In a certain position I can hear a popping sound which is audible to my wife. It is not constant just annoying. Mostly irritated by lying down and trying to sleep. It's irritated by looking to the left while driving and sitting. Have been adjusted by a chiropractor with little success. Most recently went to the ER because after waking up the muscles tightened so much it was painful enough to cause me to wince until I was able to relax. X-rays show nothing unusual. Muscle relaxers and steroids have been my treatment for the last week. I am not sedentary. Run 20 to 25 miles per week . Actually running does not cause any pain at all.
