Indocin should be taken as soon as you get a sunburn. It will help you to eliminate the pain, redness, and swelling. You cannot buy Indocin without your doctor's prescription. So you need to consult with a certified surgeon. Cold creams and moisturizers will help decrease the discomfort associated with sunburn. Vitamin C cream should be applied to the skin to decrease the severity of a sunburn.

In an emergency use 1/2 teaspoon mouth wash mixed with lotion to soothe a mild sunburn. Rinse off with cool water a few minutes afterwards to remove the stickiness from sugars in mouthwash. Came up with it on the fly when my nephew woke up in tears from a sunburn.
