I get migraines/headaches that usually last 2 or 3 days unless relieved by sumatriptan, often brought on by stress or lack of sleep and increased after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH - bleeding stroke). The difference between migraines which can have me bedbound, and SAH, is there is no denying SAH is by far the worst headache of one’s life, 0-10 within seconds, and felt like my head was being pounded with a bat to rhythm of my pulse/heartbeat. Didn't know a headache could be life threatening but it is unmistakable.
