I eat a low carb/high fat diet with good fats. Olive oil, coconut oil, saturated fats like butter. Lost 20 lb. so far. I no longer take statins. Triglycerides down from 221 to 123. HDL up, LDL down. My diet is carbs 20g or less i.e.: 10%, fats 70% of calories, protein 20% of total calories. Other effects: pain in general less, asthma well controlled now, blood pressure low normal.
