I love fish and sushi. I told my doctor many times I don’t feel well, for few years. My boyfriend (smart guy) said to check for mercury. Guess what! It was super high. I feel ill every time I exercise more than 30 minutes. I get cold easily. I have headaches and anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome is high and I have no energy so far. Doctor didn’t do anything a about it, she just told me to stop eating fish. My boyfriend is not a doctor but did figure it out better than my doctor.

This is in response to Bobbe T who used to play with mercury from thermometers. I and a friend also played with the mercury from thermometers when we were in 6th grade. My friend died of cancer several years ago. I have an essential tremor and Parkinson’s disease. I don't know how it can be linked back to mercury or not but we used to roll it around on our tongues, put it on our dimes and quarters and smash it into several little balls, then roll them back into one big ball again.

With mercury poisoning I had hallucinations, chronic back neck pain, stiffness, body jerks and tremors. I developed free body radicals which I thought were parasites and I started to fade quickly. I thought I was dying, my chest hurt, my heart developed an abnormal fibrillation, and I lost weight because I couldn’t eat. I had dry heaving, trouble urinating, smells were different, tastes were different, and at times I could taste poison. I felt insane and alone and there were many more side effects that were odd. Antioxidants are the only way to rid yourself, so detox my friends.

My cardiovascular effects from mercury poisoning are abnormal heart rhythm, slight murmur, elevated serum triglyceride and cholesterol. I have had repeated infections in bladder, mouth, sores in the nose, sinus, parotiditis, and root canal infection, medication gave no cure, only allergic reactions. I also have viral and fungal toe nails, candida and other yeast infections, stomach, oral, glossitis, autoimmune disorder, and arthritis. Large nodes developed at finger joints, which diminished after retirement. I was diagnosed with mercurialism/hydrargyrism ten years back, after chronic exposure to mercury vapors while working from 1977 to1996 as calibration technician, using open mercury contacts, then contamination by exposure to a large spill of mercury. I have chronic headaches, allergies to odors, foods, and some drugs, dermatitis, rashes and multiple blood blisters, unexplained reactivity, peripheral neuropathy, excessive perspiration, with frequent nightmares, unexplained sensory symptoms, including pain and muscle spasms, unexplained numbness or burning sensations/polyneuropathy, and general fatigue. I have shaking of hands, feet, head, etc., twitching of face or other muscles, ringing in ears and am allergic to sunlight. I also have GERD and heartburn. All my teeth were removed due to mercurialism, and replaced with implants. Other symptoms of mercury toxicity are chronic depression, anxieties with irrational blackouts. And I believe I now live with adult autism.

I used to work in the lab and I believe I had the mercury poisoning while I was doing the hazardous waste disposal. There was no gas mask for me to use. I was having coughing, shortness of breath, difficult breathing and tightness in the chest, sleeplessness, memory loss, muscle weakness, headaches, slow reflexes, and a loss of feeling or numbness back last year June. I went to the doctor and finally they referred me to see the specialist, but my work has terminated me since they found I was walking with a limp back in early September. However, the specialist didn't do the blood test until end of October. My blood test has shown normal, but I am still walking with a limp, and have loss of balance, sleeplessness, and feeling of numbness in my left leg and my right arm whenever I wake up every day. I am just wondering how I can prove I got the mercury damage in my body.

I used a Goree product. It is a beauty cream for face and it has strong mercury content. Now I am suffering with a lot of pimples in my face. I just stopped using the cream product 2 months now, after 3 months of using it.

I am 81 and when in elementary school we broke thermometers to empty out the mercury, not only to play with its elusive forms but to coat our coins with. I now have many autoimmune diseases. I wonder if anyone else has had these regrettable experiences.

I was mercury poisoned after a dentist took out my amalgams. I must have inhaled some elemental mercury. The worst symptom had to do with pins and needles in my hands and feet. The pins and needles feeling persists until today. It was so bad that, at first, I could not walk. It feels a bit like gout but without the swollen toes. The skin looked red around my toes and peeling similar to athlete’s foot. I am much better now, but not cured. I advise anyone who gets there amalgams out to have someone do it who knows what it feels like and how toxic it is. It was not done safely. This took place in the early 2000s. The day after the dentist took out the amalgam I was in a really foul mood. That's a mercury poisoning symptom. It's called erethism. That is a symptom I always have after visiting a mercury dentist.

I dropped from 0.1 to 0.05 mg on my estrogen patch and the costochondritis pain went away within the week. Prior to that I got some relief from posture support straps, not doing too much lifting or strenuous arm activity. NSAIDs were causing me stomach pain so I tried turmeric as a natural remedy and I believe that helped some too.

I was given Augmentin for sinus infection, to be taken for 14 days. After 10 days it was affecting my stomach. And now, 5 days later I'm still suffering; sick stomach and acid reflux. Nasty stuff for me.

I worked in a dental office for 15 years and I mixed the amalgam fillings, breathed the vapors as the dentist drilled, etc. I got very ill when about 29 or 30 years old. I lost a lot of weight, had horrible anxiety attacks 24 hours a day, fatigue, depression, skin rashes, unable to cope, and suicidal. It ruined my life and my family's life. I had 2 pregnancies during the time I worked as a dental assistant and both of my children have nervous problems. My immune system is damaged from the mercury also. If I get sick I am down for a long time. It's been a nightmare for 30 years now but I am doing better in a lot of ways.

Back in the 1980s I was in the service. One of my jobs was to change out thousands of florescent light bulbs and we disposed of them by smashing them so they would fit in the dumpster. Every day for a couple weeks I would be covered in the white powder from all the broken tubes, it was almost like a fog there was so much of it in the air. We also used mercury to clean certain instruments. This was simply mercury in a pan and we used an acid brush to clean off the excess mercury. Any spills were simply picked up with a vacuum. Here it is 25 years later and I have a destroyed thyroid, hair loss, bone issues, IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), memory issues, chronic headaches 24/7, and insomnia. I wonder if there is a way to test if the root cause of this was the exposure that happened back in the 1980s.

So why don"t you have a listing for poisoning from amalgam fillings? It took me 4 years to figure out why I was going into anaphylactic shock every week and that it was due to a mercury filling hiding in my back upper teeth for maybe 15 years. It"s been out of me for about 3 months and I still have chest pain, redness and pain in my cheeks, sore throat, major sinus problems and I"m allergic to many things.

I had six silver fillings that were causing skin eruptions. Also, I was apparently, exposed to lead paint. The two are worse together. I've been detoxing/chelating for a year with DMSA, but the mercury did not decrease as quickly as the lead. Then, I started taking Chlorella, which is basically algae, which can be purchased at the health food store as tablets. The algae bonds with mercury and releases it from the tissues. This is working and is inexpensive.

You neglect to mention the two most prevalent sources of mercury exposure: "silver" amalgam dental fillings and the flu vaccine and others that contain mercury and aluminum as preservatives. Mercury ACCUMULATES insidiously until it begins to destroy your body and your brain. While European countries are protecting their citizens from these sources by BANNING certain vaccines and BANNING mercury in dental materials, the good ol' USA hides this info from us and ALLOWS it to slowly and surely disable and kill its citizens. I am one of those "lucky" people. I now know the truth even though it is too late for me I can tell others so they can avoid these exposures. The FDA, AMA, ADA and health dept are criminals for not telling us the truth.

My husband has been a fisherman for years. He eats fish and he is overly addicted to deep sea fishing. He has been having symptoms of mercury poisoning for years, however we never had any tests. He is progressively getting worse as far as the symptoms are concerned and I am beginning to believe that’s what he has. One kind of test is required. He has tremors in his hands, he is getting sores, and he is having great difficulty with his lungs. Doctors seem to think he has COPD. I think he has mercury poisoning.
