My son had a massive stroke on August 7. He is 47 years old. Since then he has had the ventilator taken out and a tracheotomy and feeding tube put in. Occasionally he responds with eye movement but not consistently. I don't know if he is in pain. His feet and hands are sometimes clenched, and he grinds his teeth a lot. He has a lot of anxiety but he did before the stroke and also depression. I wonder what to expect down the road with locked-in syndrome and where he should go.
