I have had 4 weeks of pains in my joints, headaches and dizziness. Sickness only once, but been running to the toilet (had stopped but now returned), and have a sore neck, exhaustion and confusion. I contracted listeriosis on a holiday in Spain with consuming ham.

I ate hummus from Costco. They called my husband on Friday morning about listeriosis. By Friday at noon I was so nauseous and weak. Spiked a fever, and had severe back and neck pain that lasted 2 days. I’m better but still weak and a little dizzy.

I started out feeling fatigued and with aches in my bones and joints. I’ve had headaches, nausea and horrible stomach cramping that progressed into ejection from both ends. This was no ordinary stomach virus. Then my friend sends me the recall notice of fruit at Costco. Sure enough, I was the only one who ate the nectarines and possibly contracted listeriosis. I don’t wish this on anybody.

I went to the doctors last week with nasty headache, stiff neck, cough and sore throat. He said it was a head cold and I will feel better in a couple days. Six days later still feeling ill I called the doctor and he is calling in an antibiotic. Today I get in the mail a recall on chicken Caesar salad, an item I purchased from Sam's Club approximately 3 weeks back. Possible contamination with listeria.

I ate Blue Bell ice cream. I ate a half gallon of light chocolate in a week. I ate the last of it the night before the recall for listeria. I am having headaches and muscle pain.

I became ill with what I thought was the flu. It lasted about 6 days, but it took about 10 days to feel normal again. I got a message from Kroger Foods letting me know that I had purchased recalled vegetables and warned me not to eat them, as there had been listeria contamination reported. Too late. No fun being that kind of sick.

It’s almost a month now. I have dry mouth and skin, aching muscle and joints, lightheadedness, some dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, I think because of listeriosis. I didn't have blood work. I’m still weak.
