I work 10 hours straight in 110 to 130 degrees and sweat like crazy. I can get the rash cleared up but not the jock itch. I scratch it raw, my testicles and my thighs. After I shower I use creams and cornstarch. I'm not sleeping because the itch is so bad. Wonder if anybody else works in these conditions.

Driving a lot in hot weather got my jock itch started. Nothing worked until I started packing on the Desenex after showers and then brought it with me and after like 6 hours I'd use a restroom somewhere and add more if I was feeling the need (being sweaty, etc.). The itching got worse for 1 day because the bacteria were fighting back I guess, but by day 2 itching stopped and my bloody inseams started curing within a couple days to a week and after couple weeks they healed, with small remnants down my legs and towards my rear end. I just keep using it daily so it's part of my routine now. Walmart has Desenex for USD 5 plus tax, USD 6 out the door, while at the pharmacy it is USD 9 plus. I usually buy 3 at a time and go when I am down to 1 or 2 bottles: running out is not an option I want to chance. The soothing effect of the powder, the fact it keeps it dry unlike an ointment and the anti-fungal effect make it the perfect solution in my experience. Good luck I hope Desenex works for you as it did for me! I wasted USD 200 on doctors and ointments and even at pharmacy prices Desenex is a life saver and a bargain.

I got jock itch after I got an STD from a girl. The STD was chlamydia which was cured quickly with some pills that the pharmacy gave me free. Jock itch was still there in my anus. It was itching but I didn’t know it was a disease, I thought my behind was not clean. It lasted 2 years and went after I finally used a lot of treatment.

I was stationed in South Korea during the 70s and came down with jock itch. I went to the military doctor, and he gave me topical creams that did not work. I was told the water in South Korea was to blame. Then all of a sudden it went away. Then years later it came back. I think, a life style change is in order, with home remedies which might just work, since no doctor has cured the problem up for me.

I am visually impaired and got jock itch in 93 at the age of 16. I went to a boarding school in and was super involved in sports and did numerous activities such as horseback riding, swimming, floor hockey baseball, and goal ball. I went to a doctor and he got me a fungus cream and it cleared within a few weeks.
