I have just come out of hospital after 3 dramatic weeks as I had sepsis. I had back operation and a week after I had it done I became really ill, with pain all down my right side. It was horrendous. I went to the hospital but was sent back home but next day I got a call to go back to the hospital immediately. I was put on IV antibiotic straight away. I had 4 operations to wash my wound out. I was so ill I was seeing things, it was horrible. I had PICC line put into my arm as I was black and blue from blood test and anesthetic. I am still having my wound checked and got a PICC pad on my back and still in a lot of pain, but so glad I am still here as I didn't know how severe sepsis is. Without the care of the doctors and nurses I might not be here.

My family member is now in the hospital being treated for sepsis and pneumonia. I'm concerned about all the bodily fluids I've been cleaning up. I wonder if I should I be concerned.

I am an IV drug user and have an infection that has turned septic. I am concerned about my partner who shares needles with me possibly having it as well. He shows no symptoms whatsoever. I am worried about sepsis.
