We had been to the doctors on Sunday with a high temperature and was told our son had a virus. By Wednesday, he had this rash that was just getting worse. Knowing he could get a rash with the virus (and he cut a tooth at the same time), we didn’t think anything of it. As a precaution, we took him back to the doctors to check the rash. It was scarlet fever. The doctor, however, hasn’t prescribed any antibiotics because he said he was alert and eating ok.
