I have recently been hospitalized with MRSA, as I had surgery in my underarm and thigh. I can happily say that I have almost completely recovered. But there is a dormant lump that came up right after my surgery. I am worried that this may cause more problems for me. It has been roughly 2 and a half weeks since I left hospital and have finished all my antibiotics.
I had neck surgery on May 16, 2018 and was hospitalized a total of 5 times for MRSA. I am home over a week now with a wound VAC machine and finally got to doing laundry. I later learned that the hot water had been off. I am worried if people are in danger at my apartment complex, or if the heat from the dryer could wipe out the MRSA. I don’t know if everything needs to be rewashed (providing the machine is getting hot water), I don’t know what to do!
I contracted MRSA from the hospital and I never did get the proper care. The emergency room physician mashed the lesion I had on my chin and cut it saying it had a core! I think physicians are not educated enough about it! Apparently I knew more about it than my treating physician! That is just wrong! It cost me a lot for not being treated with the proper antibiotics!
