My laryngitis started with a cold, then within a week my voice became hoarse, then reduced to a whisper. Nearly 4 weeks after the original cold virus my voice is still hoarse and quiet with a sore throat and cough.

I have had a hoarse voice for about a month, and it was after I went to a pub where a friend of mine was playing in the band. I had friends with me, and I was yelling really loud just to talk! I'm thinking that might be the cause of my laryngitis.

It started with stuffy nose, raw throat, progressed to dry cough, then productive cough from sinus drainage. Finally, losing my voice, laryngitis.
