I had sustained 3 spider bites within 1 month. I went to the center for infectious diseases and they told me I had a staph infection. My last spider bite became infected. The Bactrim, cephalexin and Betasept soap I was prescribed were not alleviating the last skin infection even after 6 days. I'm on rheumatoid medicines, so have a low immune system. What finally began the healing process was tea tree oil. Within 12 hours, the infected area went from a 2 inch diameter to a 1 inch diameter.
