The needles into the foot for the freezing are a bit of a teeth-clencher but very manageable with some deep breaths. Once the toe is numb the actual surgical procedure for ingrown toenail is not painful of course. My freezing happened to wear off immediately after the procedure and it hurt terribly for about half an hour (it wasn't supposed to wear off for 5 hours). After that the toe is still tender but not as sore as the ingrown toenail.

I would have done anything, just to not have the surgery done. I actually fixed mine with only Dermatico. Depends on the stage of the ingrown toenail too I guess.

I had 2 toenail surgeries for ingrown toenail and the worst part was the shot itself. Soon after my feet feel weird but I wasn’t in excruciating pain!

I had recurring episodes of an ingrown toenail, so I had it permanently removed. The worst part is the shot. It can go deep and the numbing agent burns. You will not feel the pain for a few days, and then your foot feels sore and it drains.
