I have been experiencing both constipation and diarrhea from inflammatory bowel disease. My diet is all wrong, it seems. I eat high fiber foods, e.g. bran cereal, and peanut butter on crackers. I also like to cook with butter and sometimes coconut oil. I prefer pasta and like to snack on nuts and chocolate. I drink beer once a day. Will cut down and see if it helps.

Five cm of my large intestine is infected. I had 10 pills of naproxen for my inflammatory bowel disease. It still hurts, I am on normal diet and worried if it is wrong; not sure what to do.

I have suffered from diarrhea every 3 days the past 3 years, and living on Imodium. I finally went to the doctor a couple days ago and had an abdominal CT scan and was diagnosed with colitis but when I google to get info mainly ulcerative colitis shows up, which is an inflammatory bowel disease, and I don’t have that type of colitis. The doctor prescribed mesalazine and dimethicone, and said not to eat bread, tortillas, pasta, cookies, pizza, and burgers. Of course, all of what I like. I am trying to find help on what I can eat.

I have frequent intermittent diarrhea with rapid onset, gas, and cramping. I am unable to relate to dietary intake. Stress perhaps is the cause of my inflammatory bowel disease.
