I have had Impetigo for about 2 months on and off. My body is stressed so badly. This has happened to me before, and all times what help the most are oral and topical antibiotics, apple cider vinegar, baking soda baths and hydration. The goal is to decolonize the staph which means using mupirocin both on the affected area and in the nose, washing daily with Hibiclens soap all over, cleaning clothes and linens daily and sanitizing the home daily.

Initially I had very small clear fluid filled bumps that occurred on one side of my mouth. I thought it was hormonal acne and treated it as such. I would say the bumps resolved but then new bumps would occur. Then the real issue began. It started with a small linear area of crusted yellow within the fold of my left ear that I sadly mistook for dry ear. So I put oil on both my ears (my theory how it got on both). Of course, working in the hospital I encounter large vats of bacteria so two days later I developed extremely red, burning itchy ears with fine, small pinpoint areas on the lobe and edges of the ears. I think I got it from the telephones. It was so bad, I went to the doctor, and that's when I was diagnosed with impetigo. I was given Augmentin, and a steroid cream for my ears. I have Bactroban ointment so I have also tried this. I'm 3 days into the antibiotic regimen and I'm not sure it's really doing much. I now have pinpoint (non-fluid-filled) rash extending onto back of neck and into hairline. I worried about scabies but the doctor assured me that I did not have it. I have no spots on any other part of my body. I've read many other posts on here, where development formed after visiting a swimming pool. My mom said that's how she got it as a kid, and she actually lost all of her eyelashes. It's concerning to read that this has been a reoccurring rash for many of you. I hope to get rid of this forever, it's so itchy!

I work at an elementary school. I was sick and therefore I think my immune system was below normal. I got a crack in the corner of my mouth and began to break out in what I thought was pimples. I was wrong, within a week the 'pimples' began to spread all over my chin. I went to the doctors and got prescribed an antibiotic cream for the impetigo.

I work at a medical clinic and I'm quite certain I caught it there. I realized I had a small cut one morning at work and bandaged it, but did not clean it first (definitely never do this, learned my lesson). Within a week I had a rash all over my upper and lower limbs, and blisters that resemble acne on my face.

My son got impetigo before Christmas, really bad. He had to go to our local hospital for antibiotics and cream. Then I came down with it 2 weeks ago. I am going to see the doctor on Tuesday. I am 64 and my son is 33 so it is right, you can get it at any age.

My 21-year old son was just diagnosed with impetigo. He takes classes at the local community college in pursuit of an associate's degree in computer programming. The only thing that fits the infection criteria are the classroom keyboards which are used by several different students each day. Oddly, the infection site is his lower abdomen, about where one's appendix is.

My son was 2 years old when he got impetigo. He contracted it from his daycare. He is now going to be 5 and nothing seems to work except for Neosporin. Even while using it he still gets it every month. It all starts with a bite from a spider or mosquito.

My three sons got Impetigo from a water park last October. It was my son"s birthday party and by the end of the party 2 children had skin irritation. Within the next two weeks the three boys had Impetigo and one friend from the party too. Antibiotic ointment cleared it up but two boys have red dots still on their faces 4 months later. Even Bio oil is not clearing the scars.
