Question:
What symptoms did you experience with hypoxia or hypoxemia? Submit Your Comment
Hypoxia happened to me and was brought on by two medications where one enhances the other’s potency. I had excessive sleepiness, and tingling in my arms, hands and lips. Oxygen saturation was 90 percent. I sat up in a chair and just waited for the 1/2 of muscle relaxer to wear off. I am also a caregiver.
I was going for chemotherapy treatment, when I started to get sick to my stomach. Eventually I had trouble breathing, and thought I might pass out or suffer a heart attack. Then the nurses called an ambulance and I was brought to the hospital. I ended up in the emergency room, from there to the CC unit, then on to a medical floor for a total of 6 days. They discovered some other medical problems brought on by the chemotherapy but I was diagnosed with hypoxia caused by the former.
I was diagnosed with pneumonia and had just taken two 12 hour antibiotic tablets. I had heavy cough resulting twice in weakness and shakiness. Oxygen level was 90 at office yesterday and I am concerned about further episodes of weakness due to hypoxia.
Shortness of breath and stinging in the chest and shoulders were my symptoms of hypoxia.
