I had a permanent tooth buried in the roof of my mouth. The baby tooth it should have replaced had never fallen out. It simply remained in its place. My childhood dentist never informed me of this. It was a dentist I saw when I was a young adult who did. The tooth had to be removed before it damaged the sinus cavity or developed a cyst. It sounds much worse than it was. The entire process, including wisdom teeth extraction, was done in 4 procedures. I had a fantastic oral surgeon and dentist.

My second set of wisdom teeth have finally come out. People think the first set hurt to get out. I have to do it all over again because of hyperdontia. Other than that I didn’t like the feeling of earaches when they were coming out. To think you are 36 and still growing teeth! I thought the dentist chipped my first set pulling them out.
