Yes, I have changed my diet to try to bring down my high blood pressure. I have cut down on sugar and salt, and have become a more serious vegetarian. I also try to get more exercise, including practicing yoga to get the double benefit of exercise and relaxation. I became a bit more worried about blood pressure after reading articles that talk about studies linking high blood pressure to cognitive decline. I want to stay healthy in body and mind!
I have had hypertension for about 20 years now. Regular physical activity, staying away from red meat and alcohol helped me lower my blood pressure. Also I keep track of my numbers via a mobile app, which helps me to understand how different diet and physical activity affects my blood pressure levels.
I have had very high blood pressure for 30 years, but we have never been able to find the cause of it and no western medicine has been able to reduce it. About a month ago I started to treat myself as if I had candida as a disease, and began using chlorophyll, olive leaf extract and grape seed extract, as well as taking some other herbs and vitamin C. My blood pressure is now normal! Anyone living with unexplained high blood pressure needs to research candida and the use of anti-fungal herbs.
I do regular exercise, try decreasing my anxiety, and lessened the sugar quantity, and now my blood pressure has lowered and I am getting normal.
Recently I have change my diet to bring down my high blood pressure. I eat less meat, I don"t use a salt shaker anymore, I don"t eat fried food or eggs, and I limit my intake of caffeine.
Yes, I changed my diet due to high blood pressure.
I had a heart attack 4 months ago and had a stent put in. I have had high blood pressure. I take sleeping tablets, and I was told it probably is the cause. I’m now taking ramipril 5 mg, it doesn’t work real well. I see the doctor every week and she says it takes time, sometimes it’s not that high but sometimes quite high like 168 over 102.
I cut down on salt, eat healthier now, but the doctor is telling me I have high blood pressure. It is about 145/80 (when I am taking the medicine), I do not think that the Losartan is helping.
