I believe I have another hernia and this time it's worse than the first time. I do have a bulge in the same exact place where the first one was. I began sleeping with my head raised because of the acid reflux. The constipation is ridiculous especially after eating. I've been avoiding the doctor because I feel he will give me the news I don't want to hear. I have more headaches and pain on my left side like someone is pinching me, it hurts when I cough, bend, or stand for a long period of time.

I have an umbilical hernia. I wonder if anyone else had to go to the bathroom a lot with a hernia. I have stomach ache and go 2 to 3 times per day to the bathroom. I also get a horrific pain up into the chest while lying on the stomach!

Cramp in belly button (umbilical hernia) area, and irreducible stomach swollen up to the size of a softball were my symptoms of hernia. I had to have an emergency surgery. Bowel was trapped or twisted and I couldn’t pass motion.

I recently had an EVAR (endovascular aneurysm repair) and I have this lump on my abdomen. I am awaiting a scan to verify what the lump is.

I had carcinoma cancer sac removed 5 lb. 6 oz. in 2016. Due to the length of time I carried it my intestines and bowels exploded attached to lower hernia. I had a 4 hour operation done in 2018, now July 2019 I have two 4 inch hernias and one 10 inch hernia; going for surgery tomorrow 10 am I hope. My last recovery from both operations was good and I healed great. I had defibrillation with the 2nd operation.

I started having problems with acid reflux from seemingly out of nowhere. I always felt a fullness in the throat or like mucus was coating my throat. I started taking medication for acid reflux, which helps, but doesn't always bring 100 percent relief. I went to a gastroenterologist and told him I noticed the top of my stomach (about 5 inches above belly button) bulges when I eat certain foods. I then had a scope that he performed. Sure enough, there is a small hernia. It's still early; no operation now.

I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia and GERD about 8 years ago. When I ate it felt like there was something in my throat blocking my air passage, like my throat was closing. I couldn't eat but maybe a bite, sometimes two, before I would have to run to the bathroom to throw up. This went on for over a year along with the intense pain in my stomach that I still deal with.

The first time I was diagnosed with hernia was after I noticed my stomach bulging out on one side. It hurt a little, maybe 3 on a scale 1 to 10. Then 13 years later I was diagnosed with hernia again but after experiencing pain that was a 20 on a scale from 1 to 10. I was vomiting and using the bathroom at the same time. The pain wasn't from the back side. The pain felt like I had food poisoning. That is what I thought at first until I went to the emergency department.

I am 6 foot, 145 lb. and athletic. The hernia showed as a bulge on one side of the groin. It could be pushed back in with some squishing and rumbling, and fell back in place when I lay down. It was painless at first, and moderately stinging 3 months later.

I had Roux-En-Y gastric bypass on 6th December, 2010. M gallbladder was removed on 1st October 2013. Hiatal hernia was repaired on 30th April 2014. My weight before gastric bypass was 248 pounds and currently 110 pounds; total weight lost was 138 pounds. Height is 5"3", a small frame. Currently I have fibromyalgia, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), narcolepsy, hypothyroidism, and anemia. Progesterone replacement therapy used to correct lack of progesterone. Symptoms of hiatal hernia are nausea, sudden extreme pain in area above right hip, front of abdomen, and lower back, difficulty breathing, inability to lie on my back or stand upright.

My left is swollen around the belly button. Red and purple colored veins slightly showing. I have a nagging pain similar to a pulling sensation. I have bloating big time. I think I have hernia.

It still seems I have a hernia and it is causing burning in bowels. I had burning in bladder which seems less now, but I can’t get a normal bowel movement, just small, and I am taking probiotics. I was on medication for reflux for 3 months, not on them now, am trying all sorts to lessen the burning in my bowel. I wonder why I can’t stand up straight as well, figure being top heavy too. I am looking for something that will clear the burning in bowels so movement will be back to normal. I thought probiotics would correct it.

I had gastric bypass in 2012 and surgery for scar tissue a couple of years ago. Now I have got a big lump on the right side of my stomach and rubbing helps it go down. I had a CT scan yesterday and nothing looked out of the normal. My surgeon is going to go in and check to see if it's a hernia. I am just wondering if anyone else has had this with the full gastric bypass surgery.

I had gastric bypass surgery in 2012 and since then they had to go in to remove scar tissue. Now I found a large lump on my right side and wondering if it could be a hernia. I'm making an appointment with my surgeon to have it checked out. I am just wondering if bypass surgery would cause a hernia.

I was diagnosed with a hernia about 2 years ago which has given me no problem until now. I have a dull ache on the side of my stomach and don't know if it is the hernia. I have had a bad bout of hay fever which has caused bad bouts of coughing, wondering if I should get this seen to or leave as is.

I wonder if a hernia causes you to sleep a lot.

I had ileostomy for Crohn’s and then a takedown (i.e., re-connection). I am on Remicade which lowers your immune system. I got an abdominal hernia. Remicade can cause hernias! Be careful and ask lots of questions. Always get another opinion!

I had a bulge in the belly. I felt it, it makes a squishy vibrating sound when I pressed it gently. The doctor will diagnose it and send you to a specialist who will then send you for laparoscopic surgery.

My intestine was protruding into the canal, sometimes off; especially when I sleep or wake up from bed. I had surgery on the right side when I was young and then on the left.
