When weight is applied to the heel, it feels like I am stepping on a large thumb tack due to the heel spurs.

I have extreme pain from the heel spurs when I first get up in morning to use the restroom. I have very sharp pain in the heel of my foot when walking. I was recently told I have rheumatoid arthritis so I'm interested in any connections. Thanks.

I have pain with long periods so standing or walking. I also have pain when pressure is relieved on the affected foot. I just got x-ray today and heel spur was confirmed and cortisone prescribed.

My doctor wants to put my foot in a cast for heel spurs, for four weeks. I wonder if anyone else has had this done to them and what the result was.
