My son drives a giant front load rubbish truck. The cab is at least 30 degrees warmer than outside due to the cab being on top of the engine. He was working in this condition for 10 hours. Temperature was almost 100 degrees (outside) when he noticed his hands spasming into a claw-like position and he felt lightheaded and generally unwell. He pulled off to the side of the road and called his boss to pick him up.

Outdoor temperature was approximately 30ish and I decided to enter an outdoor pool. As soon as the water reached my hips/abdomen I started to feel a bad burning sensation in my low mid back and it started to burn up into the mid back where kidneys are located. This became severe localized spasms. Eight days later I’m still suffering badly with the cramps and can’t get off lying on heat. Only that relieves them.

I work in construction concrete finisher in 90 degree temperatures, which I feel is the cause of my heat cramps.
