I was diagnosed with gastritis last week and am waiting for an ultrasound next week. After 5 chronic attacks in 10 days I had to find food I could eat without pain and vomiting. I have eaten avocado, cottage cheese, active yogurt with honey, fresh poached salmon, rice, carrots, English muffins and all these have not affected me at all and I feel fine, no pain. It is a matter of trial and error. Wish me luck that it is Helicobacter pylori and can be sorted quickly. I am on Nexium temporarily.
