There has been heart disease in my father’s family and I have always had heart problems. At age 67 there were bubbles in my urine. I underwent many tests and nothing was found until I was diagnosed with Fabry disease at the age of 68. My heart is thickened and the center is affected with fat build-up. I am mostly pain free and had a heart stent put in around the age of 50 plus and have been on high blood pressure medicines, etc., since then. I opt for no treatment.

My first symptoms of Fabry disease were the severe burning of my hands and feet, I also had unexplained fevers and headaches. It is horrible to live with. I take Fabrazyme and the enzyme replacement helps. Support is necessary. Good luck to you and your family.

First symptom was severe diarrheas, then sore throat and coughing. I had mild elevated temperature, sensation of hands burning and then they turned bright red. It was followed by rash on chest and extremities.
