I have several auto immune diseases, lupus, fibromyalgia, ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis). I was given prednisolone was in 5 mg for 2 years, then I got adrenal insufficiency. Last year after being on 5 mg prednisolone steroid which is only a low dose, I began swelling up, putting 18 lb. on. I barely eat. I've had terrible year. I don't want to leave the house, nothing fits, and my legs are nearly double the size from edema, as when I got up. I've been told it's the steroids causing it and I'm dependent on them for adrenal insufficiency.

Suddenly I have pain and swelling with redness and heat in my legs, feet, hands, knees and joints. This has been going on for 3 weeks and the pain is severe. I am on Coumadin and cannot take some pain relievers. I cannot sleep and the pain is awful. I have a mechanical heart valve.

I have diabetes and going through menopause. I have swelling in both feet and when I press on the skin it takes 8 seconds to go back to normal. I have no fever, no shortness of breath, just swollen feet.
