I have had dry skin since my childhood. I have taken several medicines prescribed by doctors and also have tried several home remedies, yet no difference. I am a person who drinks a lot of water and I also apply moisturizer after a bath. I have patches on my legs, shoulders, back, hands and hips. My parents don’t have dry skin and I haven’t yet discovered the cause of my skin dryness.
Oh my goodness! When I read that cold temperatures was an external cause for dry skin. I was like, that's totally correct! I have experienced dry skin appearing on me each winter every year, and when it's summer or other hot-weather seasons I never experience dry skin.
I have had itchy skin for 4 weeks now and was given Celestone-M 2 weeks ago. The cream has helped the itchy rash on my chest and lower back but it is still itchy on upper legs inside thighs, arms, and stomach. It is driving me mad. I am not using soap except the occasional QV soap for under arms, etc. The itch is driving me made especially at work.
I seem to be drying out my skin with soap and hot water!
Acne treatments and harsh products cause my dry skin.
