What symptoms and signs did you experience with your corneal injury, disease, or infection? Submit Your Comment
I'm a 30 year veteran registered nurse. I worked primarily with general medical surgery teaching, so when I developed eye problems I was literally and figuratively in the dark. I began having cornea failure symptoms about a year-and-a-half before I was actually diagnosed. I was having pain in the sunlight, I was having pain in my eye, and both my primary care doctor and regular doctor attributed it to inflammation. Two years after taking a steroid drop my cornea, finally completely failed.
Severe eye irritation with slightly curved vision caused me to schedule an eye doctor visit. I was told that I had raised cornea. Doctor has me scheduled to see another doctor to determine cause.
