This is what was put into my online medical chart after colposcopy; however there is no explanation as to what this means! Cervix biopsy: low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (CIN 1), sampling: ectocervix and scant endocervix, transformation zone: not visualized, and negative for high grade CIN. Endocervix, curettage: one fragment of low grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (CIN 1), sampling: scant ectocervical and endocervical epithelium, and negative for high grade CIN.
Colposcopy and pathology results said benign.
My test was due to recent LGSIL pap smear. As I understooda negative one. I also tested positive for high risk HPV test. Summary: Colposcopy inadequate, limited by transitional zone entirely with the cervix. No visual lesions and no abnormal vaculature. Biopsies were not taken. The squamous columnar junction is not visible 360 degrees, the transition zone is entirely with the os. I have much pain going on and this worries me that it may be the partial cause.
