I am on prednisone 15 mg and taking infusion of Rituxan every four months according to my numbers, for Churg-Strauss syndrome. I have had asthma my whole life. I lost 25 pounds in one month no matter how much I ate.
After having my lungs go 100 percent into vasculitis mode last December 3, 2016, I have been on prednisone 120 mg daily down to 10 mg today, and 150 mg of azathioprine (immune suppressant). I will taper off azathioprine this Friday, December 15 so that I might receive a new (right) hip in May/June 2018. I have had serious sinus and lung issues since Vietnam 1967 where I inhaled Agent Orange 3 times! No cancer, thank goodness! I have been having numerous bouts of confusion because of this Churg-Strauss Syndrome and my wife thinks I'm having seizures at times. I am going to have an Agent Orange evaluation done as soon as possible at Veterans Affairs.
The doctor wants me to start azathioprine for my Churg-Strauss syndrome.
