My son has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CP) when he was still a baby. With early intervention, a good doctor and patience, he is able to walk, talk and technically be 'normal'. Of course, his cognitive development is not at par with other children and his fine motor skills are a constant challenge. He is now 15 years old and my greatest challenge right now is how to raise a teenager with CP. There has been a drastic change in behavior and attitude. He now tends to have tantrums and would even shout at the top of his lungs when asked to do something in school. I am deeply alarmed and I am honestly out of options in dealing with it as a mom.
My baby had birth asphyxia. She is on nasogastric tube feeds since birth. She has spastic cerebral palsy, and she is on 5 drugs for seizure. She also had craniosynostosis; (ventriculoperitoneal) VP shunt was put for mild hydrocephalus at 6 months.
We, a group of Yoga teachers are giving Yoga training to different disabled children. Last year we found Yoga helps children with cerebral palsy improve their muscle tone to a significant level. Yoga helps in different ways.
Our granddaughter just turned 2. She was a prematurely born twin (3 months early). Her sister passed due to recurring infections and survived 8 months. The surviving twin was diagnosed with cerebral palsy shortly after reaching 6 months of age.
My son has mild spastic Cerebral palsy and other disabilities as well. He has been diagnosed with Autism and epilepsy.
My son is 15 months old. Our pediatrician referred him to a neurologist. He showed delayed neck holding, rolling and sitting, but still no crawling.
