I have found the gluten free diet for celiac disease very difficult. I've got to the point where I've thrown out all my plastic dishes, wooden utensils, and all pots and pans that are not stainless steel. I've bought all new knives, cutting boards and have started collecting only glass and steel mixing bowls. I spend hours reading the ingredient list of everything I buy. Leaving the house to eat at a restaurant or friend's house almost always ends badly. If not for the terrible pain I would have given this diet up.

My son aged 7 years had complaint of abdominal pain and chest pain too. He is generally active in games and child plays. But mostly every day he feels severe pain. In a matter of half year we visited child specialists many times, but no proper diagnosis. He was just given some pain killers and germ killer medicines. Ultrasound was OK, and some doctors said it is all ok and that my son was lying so as to not go to school saying he has pain. Last week we again visited the doctor with same complaint of pain in abdomen and general weakness. He asked for TTGG (tissue transglutaminase) test and it came positive with value 30 U/L. I have stopped all types of wheat meals for him. The doctor has given some multivitamins, iron, calcium and medicines and asked for retest after three months. I am hoping to save my son from any complications.
