I have carotid artery disease and take medicines, aspirin (325 mg) and Plavix. I had a transient ischemic attack, my right eye was blinded for ten minutes, and then cleared. I will be going for surgery on Friday this week.

I had an annual physical, all tests were normal except my cholesterol was elevated, which was originally diagnosed in my late 20s. I have kept the total number between 200 and 230 for 50 years through diet and at times using apple cider vinegar. My blood pressure is 120/70, my sugar is between 80 and 90. I exercise regularly, do yoga and weight lifting, my BMI is between 22 and 25. My doctor has never told me I have carotid artery disease, I have no symptoms but found the diagnosis when I requested a complete copy of my medical records.
