My biggest challenge in daily living with the metastatic carcinoid bone cancer (original site lung 12 years prior) is that I have become unreliable. I never know when I’m going to need to stay in bed and just sleep and sweat for a few days. Making any plans has become scary as I just cannot overcome the fatigue which sets in. The sporadic diarrhea, headaches and sweats I can deal with. This is very depressing to feel stuck at home or I have to explain why I had to cancel an event at the last moment.
