His skin and eyes turned yellow. It was stage 1 pancreatic cancer found early. He had Whipple surgery in September 2011. He had a staph infection in the port after 6 weeks of chemotherapy and targeted radiation before Whipple surgery. After surgery he had feeding tube and in January developed infection in lungs died in February after 5 treatments of gemcitabine. What a shock after being told how he was such a lucky man to have caught his cancer early; he was tortured by all they did.

I have symptoms like a sore that does not heal, indigestion or difficulty swallowing. I am a tobacco chewer for last more than 15 years. I am suffering from advanced rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes (in control). I am on medicine for thyroid (one tablet a day). In 2001, I underwent a surgery for thyroid cancer in my throat and also radiotherapy 1 or 2 times. The surgery was successful and whole of cancer was removed. I have been advised to take thyroid medicine for life time.
