Emergency room revealed 9 brain abscesses, surgery was stereotactic and craniotomy, and the bacteria was Aggregatibacter aphrophilus. It led to coma and death; it was too late. The patient had headaches and sinus problems for one year, but no lab tests or CT scan called by the general physician, ENT or pulmonologist. Sad; my brother at 69 years old using Neti pot, headache medicines, and Flonase... Ask your doctor for lab tests, CT scan, MRI. He thought it was a cold or nerves; he was a caretaker for 97 year old dad.
