The boil always occurs close to my anus, it comes up two times a year, but this is the third time I'm seeing it this year. It is so painful and breaks me down even for a week or two. I don't know the cause and, how I can get rid of it making sure it does not return.

I had boils in my chest. I had severe pain and redness, then culture boils developed. It took me two months to recover, but still a lump like sign has remained that can be seen by anyone.

My boil was located at the buttocks, closer to the anus. It first started with a small hard swelling, and took over one month to get softened. It was very painful as I couldn't sit or walk properly. It developed pus and mucus secretion which were very irritating and always wetted my pants. Later it opened but with intermittent wet and dry conditions. Sometimes it looks like it is gone, but it re-appears again. I have taken lots of different antibiotics but it has refused to go way completely.

About 3 or 4 months ago I started having a boil on my right side. It burst and in a few days spread under my right arm, with one big boil, and then broke out with 20 little red boils. I was severe pain and now it is coming back again under my arm, but not painful. I have been taking antibiotics for a while now, and started taking another antibiotic, and it seems to be working for now. I wonder what causes this problem.

For years I have gotten a boil on the back of my thigh in the same place once a year. Now, last year I developed one under my left breast and this year one under my right breast. Very painful, and ugly! Hot wet washcloths held on it for a few minutes help with the pain and also make them heal faster. The doctor also prescribed mupirocin, and it's like a miracle drug. Now if I could only prevent them in the first place! I wash often but not anti-bacterial soap as I don't want to make super-germs. I'm already allergic to penicillin, so I have to be careful.

I got my first boil in my eyelid, after few days it transferred to my nose outer side, and then moved to the inner side again, it was so painful. After I took antibiotics it was over but after a month again I have this boil in my nose in the tip of my nose and now it transfers again in my inner part of the nose. I was wondering why it always comes back.

I am 33. I had my first boil in the crease between the private area and my thigh. It was severely painful. It hasn't returned to that area. Today though, 10 years after the first, I am dealing with my 2nd "boil" on my rear end. This one was the worst ever. For 4-5 days of nothing but pain! Started as a small boil, it wasn't long ago since my first butt boil, I thought this would be easy. I have had hot soaks, bandages, alcohol; this boil had changed colors red, blue, purple, and black at the very last moment of it.

I had only 3 boils in my life; the last two when I first developed diabetes. Two inch and a half long, smooth, very painful lumps in the top inner thigh. I disinfected and applied light pressure, they burst. There were two 2 inch long 1/3 inch wide piles of pus, with a shorter line of dark, sticky blood in between. They hurt so badly before removal there was a stinging feeling when I sat down. I did not want them bursting inside my hose or pants. I saw my doctor two days later. There was a hard, light orange, translucent kernel from one. Both healed quickly, as I was on antibiotics for another infection.

Two days ago I got a quarter size lump in the middle of my breast. It hurt. Today, not so bad, but still does. My best friend is a hospice nurse and she said it was a boil. Never had one in my life and I just want it gone.

It started about 2 years ago, I started getting them on my toes, I had one so big I cried so my boyfriend wrapped up my foot and had me walking around town for about 2 hours. When we got home I unwrapped my foot and it had opened up. I had pus all over and I had to keep pushing until I got most of the pus. It took me about 3 or 4 days to get all the pus out but before it even opened up. My whole toe was swollen and purple. I had a one on my pelvis it started getting bigger and bigger, it was red and warm I couldn't even wear jeans. I went to the doctors and they numbed it and cut it open drained it out and then lanced it and gave me antibiotics. Well all that it healed up, couple months later I started getting them on my arm pits I thought it was from this deodorant I was using so I threw it away. I never got them until about a year later them came back on my arm pits and I don't know how to get rid of them, I get multiple at a time. It gets really annoying and they are very painful. I have scars all over my armpits now, till this day I still get them. I have one on my arm pit right now. My doctor told me to put tea tree oil on it but it doesn't really help.

I am only 15 years old and I have not been diagnosed with any type of disease for boils. once i had a boil on my butt and i went to the doctor for it. She told me just to keep it clean and it will go away. that was about a year ago now. Now i get boils on my butt and in between my legs near my private region. It is so annoying. It hurts when I sit down and thats all we do in High School. I am obese and my mother says its because my legs are rubbing together. She is probably right. I am trying hard to lose weight but these boils are getting in the way. That time i mentioned before was the only time i went to the doctor for this but it is getting out of hand. Oh yeah, and for some reason, which i don't know, all these boils i get are leaving purple marks and not small ones. I just need some help with this. does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of these things. I was reading all the stuff on this web page about boils and it says that pus forms and you should drain it. I was wondering if there had to be pus. whenever mine pop it is hardly no pus and mostly blood. Is this a huge problem?

I am now 44 years old and suffering from my third boil. The first two were on my right arm and now I have very ugly purple scars. I got them both at the same time, 3 or 4 months ago. The third one is on my right temple. It really hurts! It's bigger than the first two were together. It's about the size of a walnut. It opened yesterday and that helped somewhat, but it is still terribly painful. It's hard to cover since it's in my hair. I think my boils are stress related. I'm just going to let them take their course.

I am only 15, and I have chronic boils. It all started when I thought I had a very bad spider bite on my left leg, I tried to self-treat until it got swollen and I couldn't walk. There was also one on my rear, not as big, but the same thing. This was my first trip to the E.R. They gave me antibiotics and told me to bandage them and let the pus drain. They said it was cellulitis. I did all they said and they went away slowly but left a nasty purple scar. Later I got about two red dots, one on my lower left leg and one on my left side of my pelvis. The one on my pelvis was getting large and red and swollen. It was warm to the touch and very painful. It was a bit white also. I went to the E.R. again, but this time I only told them about the one on my pelvis. Despite my pleas, the doctor pushed and squeezed all the pus out with me in tears and declared it as a boil. I get a few every week. I drain them and they leave a scar. I gave up on going back to the doctors. I have had them for a few months now. One time I got one on my chin and on my right leg, but other than that they are always on my left leg. I am trying to cut down on sugars and drink lots of water, and I even tried some turmeric in warm milk. I would just like to get rid of them and move on. They hurt my self-esteem where I can't even wear shorts.

I developed boils in the center of my back and back of my neck that drain constantly. After seeing several dermatologists I was told that the boils are stress related. I was prescribed ointment, told to apply hot towels and it will take a long time for the boils to totally go away. I have been dealing with this since 2004. I go sometimes 2 to 3 weeks with no draining and the moment I get stressed they redevelop. I will be trying the Goldline treatment tomorrow.
